I have a quick question. I recently heard that Darlene Green will be running for her Comptroller seat in 2009. Bit disappointed. I was hoping I could vote for her for mayor. Anyway, does anyone know who will be likely candidates for mayor in 2009? Seems to me getting Slay out, and someone not totally under Civic Progresses' leash would be a huge step forward.

I'm confused. If the City still follows this plan as Antonio says then why is the majority of the police budget going to the patrols and programs of the North side? Sounds like the police should spend less money not more if they are truly trying to destroy North St. Louis.

Excellent analysis, Antonio!

The fact that the city's black population has continued to support the Democratic Party whose elected officials concocted and followed these racist policies explains why Democratic Party leaders continue to take African American voters for granted. They don't have to "waste" resources on their reliable base, and so they spend their resources going after other constituencies. Every election reaffirms the political wisdom (but not the morality) of that policy.

The Triage Method became popular in many cities. This racist policy, in my opinion, runs contrary to equal projection in terms of service delivery. I still don't understand how St. Louis' leaders accepted the idea that those who are in greatest need should be completely cut off. I am definitely not going to miss this.
