		<description>Business, labor and academia were against ending affirmative action in Michigan, yet it passed with over 55% of the vote.  This is a tough economy and people are less willing to be accommodating in these times.  

The only way to defeat it is to keep it off the ballot.  Any word on how the signature gathering is going?</description>
