  1. Turd Ferguson Says:

While I do not like Ashcroft in any way, I do think that that was honestly a slip of the tongue, especially given the subject matter of the speech. Obama himself commented on the closeness of the sounds!

  2. Quit Playan' Says:

In the early 1970’s I was coming out of a well known music store when I was approached at the SW corner of 10th & Olive Sts. by none other than Mr. Ashcroft himself.
He greeted me , shook my hand and proceeded to describe his intentions of
running for some office or another.
The conversation was brief and ended with me informing him that I was not yet of age to vote.
As I slowly continued South on 10th St. I couldn’t help but turn around a few times and observed Mr. Ashcroft repeating-verbatim- the identical spill he had given me to each and every person that came near him afterwards. Flawlessly.
Obviously he got elected soon after and has remained in the Public eye from that day to this one.
The crisp, flawless performance in the beginning, the decades of refined public protocol since-and THEN- a slip of the tongue(?) in which you call the President-elect by the same name of its’ most notorious enemy? *Fades away with tongue-in -cheek*
