I was staying in Bloomington, IL at a hotel. I woke up at 4:38am to my bed shaking. I thought it was from a heavy train that was moving nearby but after turning on the news I was informed of the earthquake.

Freaking out due to it being 4:30AM, I almost ran outside fearing the imminent collapse of my brick 4 family. I hope some of the less stable buildings in our city are ok. Perhaps I should pay a few dollars extra for earthquake insurance? But if I’m dead then what’s the point?
