S.A.B. to discuss bonds and “other matters”

Public notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Special Administrative Board of the Transitional School District of the City of St. Louis will be held in the District’s Administration Building, 801 North 11th Street, St. Louis, Missouri, at 6:00 P.M., on August 14, 2008, to consider and act upon the matters on the following tentative agenda and such other matters as may be presented at the meeting and determined to be appropriate for discussion at that time:

  1. Resolution authorizing the defeasance and redemption of approximately $4,385,000 aggregate principal amount of the District’s outstanding General Obligation Bonds, Series 2006A, and authorizing certain other actions in connection therewith
  2. Other matters

The meeting will be open to the public.

    I don’t think so, so far as any votes beyond the issue mentioned in number 1. Doesn’t fit the Sunshine Law requirements in my opinion. They’ll probably close 12 schools or something.

    The last number I heard was 20…and the SAB seems to believe “other matters” is a legal term.
