Page gets some Canadian dough

Posted on 17 October 2008 by Antonio D. French

From the AP:

Democratic lieutenant governor’s candidate Sam Page has reported receiving a contribution from a Canadian company — an apparent violation of a federal law banning foreign political donations.

Page received a $10,000 contribution Oct. 4 from Waverly Glen, a medical equipment company based in Vaughan, Ontario.

A Page spokesman said Friday that the campaign plans to file an amended finance report showing the contribution came from Prism Medical Services, based in St. Louis. Prism is affiliated with Waverly Glen and incorporated as a Missouri company in June.

Owing political favors to foreign corporations? Missourians don’t need any of that.

Only Peter Kinder has the integrity needed to be an effective Lt. Governor.

Disgusting. Next he’ll be importing socialized healthcare from Canada. Lucky for Kinder most stores here don’t take Canadian money.
